Tell you how to install the ATV cable

1. Purchase the correct sized cable for your ATV. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for the correct cable size and type.

2. Use a pair of cable cutters to trim the end of the cable. Make sure the end of the cable is cut square and without burrs.

3. Slide the end of the cable into the ATV’s shift housing. Connect the other end of the cable to the shift lever on the ATV. This typically requires that you unscrew a screw or two to loosen the shift lever.

4. Tighten the screws on the shift lever to secure the end of the cable. If your ATV has an adjustable cable, make any necessary adjustments on the shift lever.

5. Pull the cable tight to check for proper tension. The cable should be able to move, but should be slightly tight. Adjust the cable as necessary to get the right tension. Re-tighten the screws when done.

6. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to complete the installation. If you have any doubts or issues with the installation, consult the manual for clarification.
